Construction of the Kępno ring road – information on the selection of the bid placed by Budimex SA

The Management Board of Budimex SA announces that on 4 September 2015 it was notified by the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, Branch in Opole, about the selection of the bid placed by Budimex SA as the most favourable in the public procurement procedure conducted by limited tender for: "Construction of the Kępno ring road in the area of the S11 expressway – Section I".

• Value of the bid: PLN 53,677,000.00 net.
• Commencement date: date of the contract.
• Deadline: within 28 months from the date of the contract, winter periods (i.e. between 15 December and 15 March) are not included in the completion deadline.
• Guarantee periods: 10 years for the pavement structure (except for the wearing course), acoustic screens, road signage, prefabricated concrete elements and road engineering structures; 5 years for the wearing course; 4 years for thick-film road markings; 3 years for green space and 1 year for thin-film road markings.
• Financial terms and conditions:
  • Advance payment: 5% to 10% of the approved gross contractual amount.
  • Payment: 30 days from the day when the Contracting Authority receives a VAT invoice.
  • Performance bond: 10% of the approved gross contractual amount.
• Maximum penalties payable by the Contractor:
  • 20% of the approved gross contractual amount
• Penalties payable by the Contracting Authority:
  • 15% of the approved gross contractual amount for withdrawal from the contract for reasons attributable to the Contracting Authority.
• The Contracting Authority is entitled to supplementary compensation that carries the amount of contractual penalties to the amount of damage actually suffered.

The value of the bid exceeds 10% of the equity of Budimex SA.
