Alteration of the Teaching Hospital of the Medical University in Białystok – selection of the bid by the consortium of Budimex SA and Ferrovial Agroman SA

The Budimex Management Board reports that on 6 February 2013 it received a notification from the Teaching Hospital of the Medical University in Białystok on the selection of the bid by the consortium of Budimex SA (leader) and Ferrovial Agroman SA (partner) as the most favourable bid in the proceedings carried out as a limited tender procedure for building and assembly works with internal installations of buildings A, B, C, D and E, upward extension D1 and E1, allocation of clinics and construction of P2 car park within the project "Alteration and Extension of the Teaching Hospital of the Medical University in Białystok".
Contract value: PLN 137,753,000.00 net.
Commencement date: 01.01.2014.
Deadline: 28.03.2017.
Guarantee period: 36 months for works covered by the subject of the contract, 120 months for roofing and ceiling materials.
Financial terms and conditions:
Terms of payment: 30 days from the delivery of the invoice to the Contracting Authority.
Bank performance bond: 10% of the gross asking price.
Penalties paid by the Contractor:
10% of the gross contract value for withdrawing from the contract by any party due to reasons for which the Contractor is responsible,
0.1% of the gross contract value for each day of delay in contract performance,
0.01% of gross contract value for each day of delay in removing defects discovered during the acceptance procedure or revealed during the guarantee and warranty periods.
The Contracting Authority may seek damages in excess of the amount of stipulated liquidated damages.
The contract value exceeds 10% of the equity of Budimex SA.
