The General Contractor - the Budimex and Strabag consortium - has started laying the concrete paving on the new A1 motorway, section A (Tuszyn – Piotrków Trybunalski).

About 1 kilometre of the new paving has already been laid on this 16-kilometre section. The investor, the Łódź Branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, plans to transfer the vehicle traffic to the section being concreted by the end of this year. The construction is to be completed by the end of Q3 2021. The construction work started in February 2019.

The Budimex and Strabag consortium is also building another section of the A1, the Kamieńsk - Radomsko section. Here progress is currently at 25%, with construction work scheduled to end 2 months after the completion of the Tuszyn-Piotrków Trybunalski section. The entire A1 motorway project has been divided into 5 sections, with a total length of 81 km. The Budimex and Strabag consortium has been awarded a contract to construct a 32 km section, nearly 40% of the whole project.
