Budimex completes works in Szymany airport before deadline

Budimex completed the construction of the take-off area with guardhouse at the “Mazury” Airport in Szymany two months prior to the planned deadline, i.e. on 30 June 2015. In mid-July, the Voivodeship Inspectorate for Construction Supervision in Olsztyn issued an occupancy permit decision for this investment project.
The net value of the works completed is PLN 89.3 million.
 
The scope of Budimex works included two tasks:
 

• constructing the take-off area (runway, taxiway, apron for airplanes and helicopters, technical and fire routes, parking areas for equipment used by the airport’s technical service forces, navigational lighting and electrical networks) and the guardhouse building,
• developing the design and then constructing overground radio-navigational support facilities.
