Flood protection for Krosno Odrzańskie — selection of the bid of Budimex S.A.

The Management Board of Budimex S.A. announces that on 10 November 2020 “Polish Waters” National Water Holding [Państwowe Gospodarstwo Wodne] – Regional Water Management Board in Wrocław, ul. C. K. Norwida 34, 50-950 Wroclaw, selected the bid of Budimex S.A. as the most advantageous one in the tender procedure titled: Contract 1.B.8 Flood protection for the city of Krosno Odrzańskie.

Bid value: PLN 95,127,811.72 net

The total number of orders with the same Employer in the last 12 months amounted to PLN 263,706,309.90 net. The highest-valued order is the aforementioned bid.

Terms of the highest-valued contract:

Bid value: PLN 95,127,811.72 net

Works commencement date: on the contract date

Works completion date: 720 days, i.e. 24 months from the contract date

Guarantee period: 1 year

Warranty period: 1 year

Advance payment: 15% of the Accepted Gross Contract Amount

Payment terms: 30 days from the day of delivery of a correct VAT invoice to the Employer by the

Contractor

Bank performance bond: 9% of the Accepted Gross Contract Amount.

Performance bond for environmental and social obligations: 1% of the Accepted Gross Contract Amount

Essential terms of contract, specific for the contract: World Bank procedures

Maximum amount of contractual penalty paid by the Contractor: 10% of the Accepted Gross Contract Amount

The Employer reserves the right to seek damages under general applicable rules if the amount of loss sustained exceeds the amount of the stipulated penalty.

Other terms and conditions of the contract do not differ from the market standards.

Total value of contracts signed between Budimex and its subsidiaries and “Polish Waters” National Water Holding [Państwowe Gospodarstwo Wodne] – Regional Water Management Board in Wrocław, ul. C. K. Norwida 34, 50-950 Wroclaw, including bid value exceeds the threshold of PLN 151,393 net.
