Description of the project

The expansion and modernisation of Wrocław Sewage Treatment Plant was a priority investment of the city of Wrocław in the wastewater management. It had a strategic importance for the improvement of the environment in the Oder river catchment, and further in its receiving water – the Baltic Sea. The treatment plant capacity was increased from the flow rate of approximately 70,000 m3 to about 140,000 m3 of wastewater per day. The project, divided into two stages and four tasks, involved the construction of 34 new facilities, networks and elements of underground utilities, as well as the necessary road infrastructure and land development. The modernization and expansion of the sewage treatment plant consisted in adapting the existing facilities of the mechanical part to increased capacity of the treatment plant and installing additional equipment.
