Two bids of Budimex chosen in the S17 road construction tender
On 21 August 2015, the Lublin Branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways announced the selection of two bids of Budimex for the design and construction of two sections of the S17 express road Garwolin – Kurów: from Garwolin to Gończyce (PLN 234.6 million net) and from Gończyce to the border of the Lublin and Mazovian Voivodeships (PLN 255 million net).
The sections’ total length is 25.2 km – 12.2 km from Garwolin to Gończyce and 13 km from Gończyce to the voivodeships’ border.
The over 25-km-long section of the express road will have two roadways with two traffic lanes each. The construction of the S17 road also includes building civil engineering structures and associated infrastructure. As a part of the construction of the section from Garwolin to Gończyce, Budimex will also build:
- two junctions,
- access and technological routes,
- 10 civil engineering structures within and over the express road,
- 2 road structures within access roads and over watercourses,
- a rest area and a road maintenance facility.
On the section from Gończyce to the border of the Mazovian and Lublin Voivodeships, Budimex will build:
- one junction,
- access and technological routes
- 13 civil engineering structures within and over the express road,
- 5 road structures within access roads and over watercourses,
- a rest area.
Budimex will have 34 months from the date of signing the agreement to complete the investment. Winter periods from 15 December to 15 March will be excluded from the investment completion time.
