Giant Office in Poznań commissioned

Budimex has finalized the Giant Office service and office project in Poznań, handing over the facility for use. The high-quality building has a BREEAM environmental certificate of ‘Very Good’ level. The value of the completed project is PLN 90 million. The investor is Giant Invest Sp. z o.o. The design was prepared by CDF Architekci Sp. z o.o.

Giant Office is a modern and impressive office building, erected in Górczyn in Poznań. Its impressive facade made of concrete, brick and glass, gives the investment a unique character. The building was designed with attention to the smallest detail. A number of innovative and ecological solutions were also applied. Thanks to this, Giant Office is an energy-efficient office building that maintains an optimal temperature in winter and does not overheat in summer.

It is also one of the largest buildings of its kind in the city. Its total usable area is over 30,000 m2, 15,000 m2 of which is designated for office activities and almost 2,000 m2 for services. The functional diversity is reflected in the architectural form of the building. The ground floor, intended for retail and service space has been clearly separated stylistically from the office floors. It is distinguished by its unusual facade made of artificial stone. The facade of the upper floors was made of hand-formed brick and 4-metre glass elements.

“We are commencing another modern and environmentally friendly office building. Budimex has extensive experience in the implementation of this type of project, so we are happy to include the Poznań Giant Office in the portfolio of investments transforming the image of Polish cities,” says Artur Popko, Vice President of the Board of Budimex SA.

The interesting appearance of the facility is not the only asset of the investment. A big advantage of Giant Office is a well-thought-out office space, the layout of which was determined on the basis of an analysis of the building's lighting, so that all its users can use it as effectively and pleasantly as possible. Four independent circulation paths facilitate the division of a floor between individual tenants. An important factor in the organization of space is the ability to isolate both comfortable open-space areas and office rooms. What is more, future tenants will be able to decorate their offices according to their needs and match the decor to the character of the company.

Apart from the office and retail space, there is also the main hall, which is designed as a passageway connecting the external area of the building with the internal courtyard. The light grey floors in this part of the building smoothly blend into the patio space.

Another impressive place in the building is the reception. The walls of this zone and the lobby have been finished with 4 mm thick and 150 cm wide hard Hardox wear-resistant sheet metal, which is a continuation of the building's external cladding. The counter in the lobby is designed as a monolithic block, finished on the outside with blocks of concrete with a thick aggregate. The whole space was complemented with elegant lighting in the form of linear niches.

The building is 27.23 metres high and qualifies for the high category. It also has class ‘B’ fire resistance. Construction works on the object began in April 2018 and were completed in February 2020. The value of the investment is 90 million PLN.

Giant Office is not the only office project in Budimex portfolio. The company has also built, among others, the Kraków-based BIG for Ghelamco, a modern and environmentally friendly office building, as well as the headquarters of the Transportation Technical Supervision in Warsaw's Mokotów district.
