Dariusz Blocher — President of the Year 2016

The most prestigious distinction awarded by “Parkiet” for people and institutions of the Polish capital market — the “Bulls and Bears” statuette in the category president of the year was awarded to Dariusz Blocher, president of Budimex.

The award-giving ceremony was held on 15 March at the headquarters of the Warsaw Stock Exchange and represented the 23rd edition of this competition. The most experienced editors and journalists from “Parkiet” nominate candidates for the award. When giving the award to our president, Parkiet posted on their Twitter: “He has his way of dealing with stagnation in the industry. The Company has great results. The President of the Year is Dariusz Blocher”.

When receiving the award, the president Blocher thanked first and foremost all Budimex employees — Success requires years of work, I would not receive this award without Budimex employees — he added also that currently Budimex constructs every 4th kilometer of motorways in Poland. He emphasized that fact that the company is among top 20 CIT payers and since 2011 has continuously been a part of Respect Index of socially responsible companies.
 

In 2010, Budimex was a nominee for the “Bulls and Bears” award in the category company of the year.
