Cornerstone laying ceremony for the construction of Teal Office and Sepia Office in Łódź

Construction and revitalisation of Teal Office and Sepia Office buildings within the Off Piotrkowska Center in Łódź has officially commenced - the cornerstone for their construction was laid on 25 May 2017.

The Sepia Office building currently undergoes mechanical and wet cleaning, disassembly and renovation works, and impregnation of wooden elements is performed. Works on excavations and their protections (Berliner wall) as well as initial works related to erection of reinforced concrete structures are currently in progress at the site of the newly constructed Teal Office. This is the first stage of revitalizing the buildings of the former Franciszek Ramisch Cotton Products Plant.

Challenges related to performance of works include first and foremost conservation works related to the historic character of the Sepia Office building. It is also necessary to maintain good condition of the Roosevelta street pavement made of relatively fragile clinker brick. Moreover, active parts of the city are close to the site, with numerous indoor and outdoor restaurants operating despite of the nearby works in progress.

The works commenced on 14 April 2017. Their completion is planned for June 2018.

In 2014, National Geographic Traveler announced that the Off Piotrkowska Center space is one of the seven wonders of Poland.
