Budimex to Reconstruct Another Section of the Railway Line No. 7
The consortium of BUDIMEX Budownictwo Sp. z o. o. and FERROVIAL AGROMAN S.A. signed a contract for construction, reconstruction and extension (modernization) of another section of the railway line no. 7 Warszawa Wschodnia Osobowa - Dorohusk, on the Otwock - Lublin section, Otwock - Pilawa section.
The length of the entire section intended for reconstruction is ca. 30 km. According to the established work stages, the Pilawa station will be reconstructed first, and then the Otwock station. After completion of these works, the Otwock-Pilawa section will be closed in December 2019 in order to add the track no. 2 and reconstruct the existing track no 1. The works are planned to be completed in April 2020.
The scope of all works in this contract covers reconstruction of 74 km of track in total, reconstruction of Otwock, Celestynów and Pilawa stations, construction of 87 new turnouts, reconstruction of the overhead line, reconstruction of railway power system and equipment, modernization of 12 level crossings, reconstruction and construction of 22 engineering structures, construction of 2 signal boxes, 18 new platforms, reconstruction of the sanitary infrastructure and water equipment as well as construction of 5 km of road systems.
The value of the contract amounts to PLN 389.62 million net.
