Budimex signed new contract for construction of the S6 Płoty–Kiełpino expressway

On 05 October 2015, Budimex signed with the Szczecin Branch of the General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways an agreement for the design and construction of the S6 expressway on the section from the end of the Płoty bypass to the Kiełpino junction (including the junction). Budimex is going to build this road for PLN 206.5 million net.
The scope of works includes construction of:

  • a 14.6 km section of expressway,
  • Wicimice and Kiełpino junctions,
  • engineering structures (viaducts, bridges, trestle bridges, animal passageways, culverts over water streams),
  • access roads for handling local traffic,
  • infrastructure used for environmental protection (animal passageways, culverts, acoustic screens, dividing nets, devices for pre-treating rainwater),
  • retrofitting of public roads, electricity and water supply networks.

In the future, expressway No 6 will connect the largest cities of Northern Poland: Szczecin, Gdańsk, Gdynia, Słupsk and Koszalin.
Budimex will have 34 months from the date of agreement signature to complete the works (excluding winter periods from 15 December to 15 March).
