Budimex made its debut in the Łukasiewicz Innovator index

On April 12, Budimex made its debut in the Łukasiewicz INNOVATOR index, created by the joint-stock companies that develop their potential in cooperation with the Polish scientific sector.

The INNOVATOR index is a joint promotional venture of the Łukasiewicz Research Network (Łukasiewicz) and the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE), aimed at presenting and promoting joint-stock companies that develop their potential in cooperation with the scientific sector, represented by an integrated network of research institutes – the Łukasiewicz Research Network. GPW Benchmark SA is responsible for the calculation and distribution of the Index value to data vendors, Łukasiewicz and the WSE are responsible for the method of index construction and calculation, and its publication.

“The index presents truly innovative companies and is a real indicator of their activity in this area. Therefore, it is an excellent promotion tool for its participants, and a reliable source of information for investors about the research and implementation activities of companies listed on the WSE. Our partners in research projects, such as PKN Orlen and Polska Grupa Energetyczna, are also among the companies in the new index”, says Dariusz Blocher – President of Budimex SA.

The first portfolio of the index – apart from Budimex – also includes the following companies: AC, CCC, Grupa Azoty, Lubawa, PGE, PKN ORLEN, Polwax, Tauron, Vigo, XTPL, 4Mass, Blirt and Scope Fluidics.

“By promoting cooperation with Polish science, we want to strengthen the gene of modernity and innovation in joint-stock companies. We have a team of over 4,500 creative people (scientists and engineers), unattainable to other entities on the Polish R&D market, who create with passion solutions for businesses looking for innovation. The Łukasiewicz INNOVATOR index is already bringing together entities of various sizes and from various industries. At the same time, it has the potential to be much broader, because Łukasiewicz’s four research directions: health, intelligent mobility, digital transformation, and sustainable economy and energy can contribute to the success of many business ventures”, says Piotr Dardziński, President of the Łukasiewicz Research Network.

Currently, Budimex conducts dozen innovative and research projects in the field of building materials, construction transport, robotics, thermo-modernisation and digital services related to the maintenance of infrastructure, including Safeway, Bimmer, HIMA Asphalt, and self-repairing roads.
