Budimex constructed a 6.4 km section of national road No 21 in Słupsk

Within 20 months, Budimex constructed a 6.4 km section of national road No 21 in Słupsk. Thanks to this project, transit traffic bypasses the city centre. In addition, a new road connects the city districts which were previously separated by a railway line. Two road-bridges were built above the railway line. 11 roundabouts were constructed along the entire section.
National road No 21 runs along Koszalińska, Rejtana, Braci Staniuków and Portowa streets. Except for the section from the junction with Braci Staniuków street to the junction with Portowa street, the road is a two-way dual carriageway. Pathways and bike lanes were constructed along the newly-constructed road. As part of the project, access roads, exits and bus lay-bys were constructed and redeveloped. New lighting, acoustic barriers and other devices to protect the environment were installed along the whole section. Redevelopment works were also conducted on the water supply system, sewage system, rainwater system, network gas, district heating, electricity, telephone networks and traction.
The project, worth PLN 98.1 million, was completed on 7 December 2015, three weeks before the contracted deadline.
