400 new trees in Mokotów and Wilanów. The Budimex Green Stop campaign starts
The campaign is addressed to housing communities and districts located in the districts of Mokotów and Wilanów (in the vicinity of the construction of the tram route to Wilanów), which have land available for planting new trees.
The campaign will be divided into at least three editions. The first will be implemented in the spring of 2023, the next in early autumn and the last in the spring of 2024. In the first place, Budimex will select those communities/districts which are located closest to the construction of the tram route to Wilanów.
Budimex wants to carry out the first planting of 130 trees with housing communities as early as this spring. These will be Japanese cherry, small-leaved lime and Norway maple. They are trees that grow well in cities with rapid growth. The communities can choose the species of trees, with dendrological consultations through Budimex.
Housing communities and districts must have land in the vicinity of the construction of the tram route to Wilanów where the tree planting will be done. They must also have resources allowing them to look after the planted trees permanently.
To register a community or district for the campaign, all you need to do is to fill in the application form at www.przystanekzielen.waw.pl. Applications for the 1st Edition of the campaign can be submitted until 15 March 2023.
Budimex – the largest Polish general construction contractor – has been working since September 2022 on the largest tram investment in the capital city for the investor Tramwaje Warszawskie. The construction of the tram route to Wilanów is an investment aimed at improving the quality of life for many Warsaw residents. The route will connect Wola, Ochota and the western railway station with Wilanów and Mokotów. As a result, Wilanów residents will be able to reach the city centre in less than 30 minutes during rush hour!
The employees involved in the project implementation are simultaneously carrying out the design and construction. Currently, 209 people and 37 units of equipment are working on the site. Works are underway on the section from Puławska Street to Wilanowska Avenue. In February, Budimex will also start works along Rzeczpospolitej Avenue in Wilanów.
