Establishment of Dromex

The Dromex Export Office for Communication Construction, later known as a sister company of Budimex, is established in Zjednoczenie Przedsiębiorstw Robót Drogowych i Mostowych (ZPRDiM). Since the very beginnings of its business activity, the company has been gaining experience in the deserts of the Middle East. Dromex builds over 4,000 km of roads in Libya for more than USD 1 billion, which constitutes 13 percent of this country’s road network.

It total, the company builds over 4,700 km of roads and motorways and ca. 100 large bridges, viaducts and traffic junctions abroad for over USD 1.7 billion.
