A1 motorway: section between the Sójki and Piątek junctions - completion of works - selection of the Budimex SA bid

The Management Board of Budimex SA announces that on 26 February 2014 it was informed by the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, Branch in Łódź, on the selection of the Budimex SA bid as the most favourable bid in the public procurement proceedings for "Work completion for the A1 motorway in the section from the Kujawsko-Pomorskie/Łódzkie voivodeship border to Stryków junction – Task 2 from km 230+817 to km 295+850. Section 2 from Sójki junction to Piątek junction (incl. junction) from km 245+800 to km 273+400, section 1 from km 245+800 to km 261+000."

• Contract value: PLN 49,660,063.66 net
• Commencement date: date of the contract
• Completion date: 13 months upon concluding the contract (excluding the period between 15 December and 15 March)
• Guarantee period: 5 years
• Financial terms and conditions:
  • Advance payment: 5% of the gross contractual price
  • Payment: 30 days
  • Bank performance bond: 10% of the gross offered price
• Maximum penalties paid by the Contractor: 20% of the gross contractual price.
• Contractual penalties to be paid by the Contracting Authority: 15% of the gross contractual price upon withdrawal from the contract due to the Contracting Authority.
• The Contracting Authority reserves the right to claim supplementary compensation which adjusts the amount of contractual penalties to the amount of damage actually suffered and lost profits.

The contract value exceeds 10% of the equity of Budimex S.A.
