Budimex se stal polským podnikatelem roku 2018 - lídrem v oboru

On 11 June 2019, Jerzy Kwieciński, Minister of Investment and Development, presented Dariusz Blocher, as the company representative, with the Polish Entrepreneur of the Year 2018 – Industry Leader award granted by the Gazeta Polska Codziennie daily. In the sixth edition of the competition, Budimex was in the narrow circle of only six winners, including KGHM Miedź and Rafako.

This is a reward for our employees – their work and passion,” said Dariusz Blocher in his speech. “We are the highest-ranked road contractor and the second best in railway projects. We will keep our promises. We are going to continue to pay taxes in Poland and we will invest here,” he said during the awards gala. “Our commitment is further proven by social programmes such as the Parent Zone, with as many as 180 child beneficiaries in 29 hospitals,” emphasized Dariusz Blocher.

Jerzy Kwieciński – Minister of Investment and Development, emphasized that Budimex was an example of a Polish company that had achieved its leading position in a very competitive international environment and was still strongly involved with the Polish market.

As in previous years, the winners were selected by a Competition Jury composed of representatives of the institutional partners of the project: Industrial Development Agency (ARP), Foundation for the Polish Promotional Emblem “Teraz Polska” and Stanisław Staszic Institute. The jury also included representatives of economic and scientific organisations: Adam Smith Centre, Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers (ZPP), Jagiellonian Institute and the Economic Council of the Free Word Zone.

The value of the prize is reinforced by the fact that the award ceremony was attended by other ministers: ministers from the Office of the Prime Minister, the Minister of Entrepreneurship, and the Minister of Science and Higher Education.
