The design and construction of the S14 express road of the West Ring Road of Łódź – selection of the bid

The Management Board of Budimex notifies that on 1 August 2018, Budimex SA received a letter from the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways, Branch in Łódź, informing that the bid of the consortium of Budimex SA – the consortium leader (50%) and Strabag Sp. z o. o. – the consortium partner (50%) was selected as the most advantageous one in the tender procedure concerning: The design and construction of the S14 express road of the West Ring Road of Łódź. Ex. A – Section I junction “Łódź Lublinek” – junction “Łódź Teofilów” Ex. B – Section II junction “Łódź Teofilów” (without a junction) – DK91 in Słowik municipality in the scope of part No 1 of the contract: “The design and construction of the S14 express road of the West Ring Road of Łódź Ex. A – Section I junction “Łódź Lublinek” – junction “Łódź Teofilów”.

The Company announced that the Employer rated highest the consortium bid in this tender in the current report No 13/2018 of 14 March 2018.

Contract value: PLN 456,748,863.00 net. 

Commencement date: from the contract date 

Completion date: 32 months from the date of the Contract conclusion, including obtaining the permit for use. The implementation time does not include winter periods, (i.e. from 15 December to 15 March). The design time includes winter periods (i.e. from 15 December to 15 March). 

Guarantee period is different for various work components and is between 5 and 10 years. 

Statutory warranty period: 60 months 

Advance payment: 5%-10% 

Payment conditions: within 30 days of the date of delivery of a VAT invoice to the Employer  

Bank performance bond: 10% of the Accepted Gross Contract Amount. 

Contractual penalties payable by the Contractor do not deviate from market standards. 

Penalties payable by the Employer do not deviate from market standards. 

The Employer is entitled to supplemental damages. 

Other terms and conditions of the contract do not differ from the market standards. 

The bid value exceeds the threshold of PLN 127,386 thousand net
