Regional Waste Management Plant in Ostrów Wielkopolski

The objective of the a “design and build” contract was to construct facilities of the Regional Waste Management Plant and guarantee the technological parameters of the plant.

- A waste sorting station with an area of approx. 3,000 m2, equipped with a waste sorting line with a capacity of 79,000 tonnes per year, three automatic unloading stations for the 0–80 mm fraction, RDF and non-composting fraction.

- A composting plant composed of 6 bioreactors with an aerobic stabilisation capacity of approx. 45 tonnes per year.

- A biofilter reducing the odour generated by the composting plant.

The project also involved the construction of recyclable material storage sheds, a fire water tank with a capacity of approx. 800 m3, earthen leachate tank, office building, roads, yards, footways and car parks. An area of approx. 6,500 m2 was soft landscaped, including compensation plantings.
