Budimex will build the S5 road from Wronczyn to Kościan

On 13.04.2016, Budimex signed a contract for the design and construction of the Wronczyn – Kościan Południe section of the S5 Poznań – Wrocław road with the Poznań Branch of the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways. The net value of the contract amounts to PLN 291.9 million.

The scope of works includes the construction of:

• 18.9 km long section of the express road;
• 22 engineering structures;
• 2 road junctions: Czempin – at the intersection of the S5 express road with the No. 5 national road; and Kościan Północ – at the intersection of the S5 express road with the passage to the existing No. 5 national road;
• “Kokorzyn” and “Sierakowo” rest areas;
• access and haul roads;
• environmental protection facilities (wildlife bridges and underpasses) and traffic protection facilities (crash barriers) as well as lighting and signage for the express road.

Budimex will deliver the project within 32 months. Winter periods (from 15 December to 15 March) will be excluded from the project completion time.
The express road will shorten the travel time between Poznań and Wrocław.
